Slagelse was founded in 1922 and is the largest fieldhockey club in Denmark with 200 members.The club is within the leading teams in the league with several national titels as well indoor and outdoor.

The club is represented at all national teams and have a large youth department as well. The best result internationally was participating in the final in European Indoor Cup – Division A in Durkheim 2000.
